digital story telling
For my didital story telling i was going to tell a story about my life when iwas young and had no real obligations. (owning my insights. i was going to talk about when i was young and about the love i had for sports, as well as certain things my mother and my grandfather would tell me to keep me motivated and out of trouble.(owning my feelings). I was also going to try and capture some games and moments that my mother, grandfather, and I spent before and after the games.(finding the moment). Another tool i could use is actual pictures of me when i was younger and my family to give my audience a good perception of how things were.(seeing my story). This project shoud be very fun that takes alot of concentration i believe the hardest part will be getting a hold of some picutres.

I stand for Wikipedia not against it!
After reading the artical " A Stand against Wikipedia" I have some mixed emotions on how certain people use the website and how some professors view it. Personaly i feel that wikipedia is a good website to get a general understanding for a subject and can be a stepping stone in leading you in the right direction to more reliable sorces. I also feel that the ban of wikipedia is absolutly crazy, where ever you get your information from you should validate it and make sure its correct, and if some people descide to use it and dont make sure the information is correct ..... shame on you!

The Book vs The Movie
I personaly feel that the book is the best way to tell what type of person chris is simply becasue you have his actual journal that he wrote all the info is there in front of you. But on the other hand watching the movie witch i found way more intresting is a movie that can be edited and things can be added so the viewings wiuld be high. From the movie i feel more sympathy for chris because i see how his home life actualy was and i can visualy see the things he had to overcome as a child, like i know you can say that he waS SELFISH for leaving un announced and he could of let some one beside the people he caught rides with that he was o.k but from the movie there is some what of a gray area were you feel like this is what he had to do. while in the book its just like he wanted to find himself and he just ups and leaves his family and his younger sister whom he would do anything for , its just kind of a hard way to actualy feel sorry for him up unitl his actual death.
Epigraph reflection " Leo Tolstoy" "Wallace Stegner"
The first epigraph comes from Leo Tolstoy, "Family Happiness" and my interpertation of this is that for some people the normal way of living just is not enough, some people need that uncertainty in life to keep them motivated, it also talks about sacrifising your self for your love. witch i think means that if you truly love something or some one you wont worry about your well being rather than getting or doing what you absolutly love. This epigraph relates to Chris Mccandless in a lot of ways. He was tired of the normal way of living and society having so many limitations so he set off into the wild and persued what he loved. The second epigraph comes from Wallace Stegner "The American West as Living Space" from this little epigraph i think the author is trieng to show some type of rebelling witch Chris did alot of in a way he wouldnt be denied he was looking for freedom with no obligations and no expectations from noone.
Is Chris McCandless foolish or an Idealsit
After reading the Artical "Death of an Innocent" I have came to a pretty strong assumption about Chris, also known as Alex. In a way i do feel that he was an idealist. I say this becaise it was obvious to see that he was willing to give up all his belongings and his comfortable way of living just to live free of society, his heart was in the right sport but honestly his head wasnt. Now i'm not saying he was nessicerly a foolish man because he realy wasnt he was actualy very smart graduating from Emory University with honnors as well as being an acomplished athlete. But on the contray i honestly believe that some of the things he did was foolish, like wondering into the wild with only a couple lbs of rice, no money, no map or watch. I feel like Chris deinitly had a transcendentalist way of thinking simply because of his love for nature and how he looked at the grand theme of things rather than the materialistic things of life.

Life is about the finner things
After reading a short story by the name of " How much Land does a Man need?" i came to the conclusion that the moral of the story is greed and being materiallistic will bring you bad fortune. Personaly i do feel that greed and being selfish is a terrible trait to have, but being materialistic and liking the finner things in life is an adequate way of living. In order to to have nice things you or some one had to work hard to get it, but i guesse there is always some exceptions for instence in the story writting by Leo the Devil set the pesant man up, in mt eyes. he just through a large amount of land to a man who didnt never had nothin more than what he needed to survive, so greed sat in real quick and his whole personality changed. so you can look at it as greed and being selfish will get you no where in life but having a love fir nice things will.

If I could i would NOT!
In the story Into The Wild you could argue the point that Chris wondered into Alaska to reinvent himself! Personally i think that is a bit going over board, but i don't think its nessicerly a bad thing to try and reinvent your self or change bad habits! but the real question is would I do it? NO i was always told to play the hand you was dealt. And for real i do like my life and look forward to where its heading, i wouldn't change my life or the people in it for the world.
