The Book vs The Movie
I personaly feel that the book is the best way to tell what type of person chris is simply becasue you have his actual journal that he wrote all the info is there in front of you. But on the other hand watching the movie witch i found way more intresting is a movie that can be edited and things can be added so the viewings wiuld be high. From the movie i feel more sympathy for chris because i see how his home life actualy was and i can visualy see the things he had to overcome as a child, like i know you can say that he waS SELFISH for leaving un announced and he could of let some one beside the people he caught rides with that he was o.k but from the movie there is some what of a gray area were you feel like this is what he had to do. while in the book its just like he wanted to find himself and he just ups and leaves his family and his younger sister whom he would do anything for , its just kind of a hard way to actualy feel sorry for him up unitl his actual death.
