Epigraph reflection " Leo Tolstoy" "Wallace Stegner"
The first epigraph comes from Leo Tolstoy, "Family Happiness" and my interpertation of this is that for some people the normal way of living just is not enough, some people need that uncertainty in life to keep them motivated, it also talks about sacrifising your self for your love. witch i think means that if you truly love something or some one you wont worry about your well being rather than getting or doing what you absolutly love. This epigraph relates to Chris Mccandless in a lot of ways. He was tired of the normal way of living and society having so many limitations so he set off into the wild and persued what he loved. The second epigraph comes from Wallace Stegner "The American West as Living Space" from this little epigraph i think the author is trieng to show some type of rebelling witch Chris did alot of in a way he wouldnt be denied he was looking for freedom with no obligations and no expectations from noone.
